Batch determination

Former Member

Hi all,

In my scenario Bio fertilizer have been produced through process order

it has shelf life period. after production produced qty for the day has to be confirmed with a batch number which indicate the days production, so that sales people use that batch number to identify the particular batch in FIFO basis and sell it.

so i need to configure batch determination for the finished prodcut during confirmation /delivery(Gr)

How it can be done.that too batch number must represent date as batch number.

Regards

suresh

Suresh,

I believe Batch management is active. Next you can activate Expiration date check in tcode : OMJ5.

This should then trigger batch number assignemnt at production order good receipt. During GR ( 101 movement) system will generate popup & ask for date of production.

Based on date of production & total shelf life maintained in material master (plant data/storage view) system will calcuate expiry date of the batch & both are stored in the batch master.

also if you have external batch number assignment user can type the date of production as batch number itself.

Howevevr if you need system to auto populate date of [prodcution as batch number you will need to activate customer exit for batch number assignment ( help from tech consultant)

" As part of the external batch number assignment, the following two function module exits are available in the SAP enhancement SAPLV1ZE for checking a new batch number that has been entered.

EXIT_SAPLV01Z_003. Using this exit, you can replace the proposed number range object BATCH_CLT and/or external interval 02 with a number range object and/or external interval you have defined yourself.

You also have the option of suppressing the batch number check, for example, based on the material or plant.

EXIT_SAPLV01Z_004. Using this exit, you can define your own checking rule. "

I am sure this will help you. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks,

Ram
