Hi all,
is it possible to duplicate a node with subnodes with maintaining the mapping rules?
I have a lot of rules, where the mapping is nearly the same and just some parameters
have to be change. When I duplicate a subtree, all mapping information get lost.
Can I work with mapping templates for this?
Thanks
regards
chris
when you duplicate a subtree the mapping will not be retained.
you can work on a mapping template, that should be ideal in case you have the same case in multiple mappings

Duplicating the tree and copy&paste the mapping rules from another tree is what I am already doing and what
is very time intensive. I try to create a message mapping template, but the entry in the context menu is
not available. Can anybody tell me why the creating of message templates is not available on XI 3.0?

Mapping Template option is available (as per help): http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/79/2835b7848c458bb42cf8de0bcc1ace/frameset.htm

According to me its not possible.

Copy the existing mapping (put the cursor at the last but one of the target field and right click and take the copy) then take the repeated (duplicated) field/node and paste the mapping and do the changes required and map to that field.
You can follow with mapping templates
