How to display(non-chart) multiple columns and rows using 2 filters?

Hello,

Trying to display in a table, grid, anything (non-chart) our top 5 products, top 5 customers based on region. Data in spreadsheet looks like this:

Type Region Top 20 YTD Revenue % of All Products % of Top 5

Product Global X ### % %

Product Global Y ### % %

Product Global Z ### % %

Product Global A ### % %

Product Global B ### % %

Product Europe X ### % %

Product Europe Y ### % %

Product Europe Z ### % %

Product Europe A ### % %

Product Europe B ### % %

Customer Global X ### % %

Customer Global Y ### % %

Customer Global Z ### % %

Customer Global A ### % %

Customer Global B ### % %

Customer Europe X ### % %

Customer Europe Y ### % %

Customer Europe Z ### % %

Customer Europe A ### % %

Customer Europe B ### % %

I am using 2 filters One for Type and One for Region. If I choose Product type and then Europe, I should be able to display in a table manner the revenue and percentages for Europe's X, Y, Z, A & B products at the same time.

I can't figure out! I read in other forums that instead of using Grid to use a Spreadsheet table but I don't see that choice anywhere... Any other suggestions?

Thank you,

Sorell

Hi Sorell

If you are using Xcelsius 2008 the Spreadsheet Table component is in the Selectors Folder. Select View > Components, then select the Tree tab on the Component Browser, you should see it there.

I would use 2 ComboBoxes for this type of work and use the Filtered Rows data insertion type.

Thanks! I will use the 2 combo boxes instead

I am using Xcelsius XL Professional 4 and I do not see a Tree tab...

Ah thought so, I think it's just called a Table component in XC v4

Oh ok. I do have a table. I guess my problem is linking them so 5 rows per region display. Have not gotten it to link for some reason. Still learning how to link the componets...Thanks

I do not use or have v4, so may not be able to see the issue. My contact details can be found in my profile.
