User Session Not closed when using Chrome IE ExtensionTab

Recently, we had started to move the SAP appplications to Chrome Browser using Chrome Extension IE tab, However we had experience some issues. The issue is when closing the chrome browser window, the user session was not closed at backend sap R3.

For our travel module, because of this issue, when user open a travel request again, their entry will be locked even after they closed the window.

Does anyone has any idea/solution?

  • Hi Chi,

Extensions like IETab don't always use the same functionality as the browser they claim to emulate. As a result using such tools doesn't guarantee all functionality will work properly, and these extensions are not covered by the SAP Product Availability Matrix.

Please make sure you haven't enabled any pop up blockers, and Chrome is natively supported by the Portal so there is no need to use such an extension

    Best regards

    Nick

    Hi Chi,

If there is an application issue (e.g: ESS) I recommend posting this along with a screenshot of the issue in the application forum. The Enterprise Portal itself fully supports the Chrome browser.
