Subarea Field Size

Hi all,

I want to increase the Field size of Personnel Subrea from 4 to 6.How Can i do that.

And after doing this change,will their be any issue.

Please let me know your Suggestions as early.

Hi,

Probably you're planning to increase the number of characters for domain BTRTL from 4 to 6.

This is a repair and I would definitely avoid a repair on such a primary filed of HCM.

This may have many negative consequences during system patching and upgarde activities.

Moreover, you may have some errors in standard programs/screens as well.

Why do you need such a modification?

Hi Virender,

what Dilek said is correct. Don't do any changes in Personnel sub area field, it is our base enterprise structure. If you try to change there may be so many conflicts may come.

So don't do any such kind of changes.
