Hi Friends,
In time mgt,we have a concept called Negative in Quota Deduction.What is the meaning of this and how the functionality will helps to customers.

Hi kumar,
When u r defining a Quota.Then its fixed like say SL is 15 days now u want that there can be an extra amount of Quota that an employee can take so in that case set -10 in table V_T556A.
Now if in a yr he uses 20 it means that 5 days extra has been deducted from negative deduction so the balance will be -5 which can be carry forward and will be adjusted with next yr Quota.

Thx for quick reply.
For example i generated 12 CL Per annum for group of employees.Let us assume quota has been completed.Now how this negative deduction is working and where we have to configure in back end.As u suggested in table t556a,do i need to give extra 5 days or i need to give total quota adding with previous.How it explains..

Hi Kumar,
Yes suppose u have 12 CL please configue this as a normal Quota Config only.Now in this table V_T556A please put the extra days(5 in ur case).Anr the remaning 12 CL in the Base entitlement .Please ensure u assign this in the counting rules also.

xcellent inputs to close this thread,But still i am looking clarification.I added the entry in table t556a and i booked 2 leaves working fine.Here what is the use we are working on this scenario to cusomers and whe n these 5 days extra will deduct from emploee quota.
I need in which stage we have to use this thing.

Hi Kumar,
Okay once ur done with the config the next thing is ur Quota will be generated automatically and updated in IT2006 and if u can see there will be a field Neg.dedcution to there u can see -10 configured by u.So when u book anabsence greated than the entitlement through IT2001 then a info will come that the Quota will be deducted from the negative.
This is in case when u want to give the employee an urgency to use beyond the entitlement.

Hi Swati,
I agree your point.here my question is for last year employee used his total quota nad also we added 5 more laeves for some urgency also booked for those 5 leaves.Now fianlly he used 12+5=17.am i right..But last year negative 5 leaves where we will deduct in next year.
Did system will take care or we have to adjust those 5 days manually.

its the amount of leave an employee can take over and above his quota. For eg. he is allowed only 15 days in a year and if u have given 3 days in negative deduction then he can take upto 18 days, and the same will be deducted once his quota is generated again.
