Issue with UME

Hi,

In my new project i have a task to create a user and assigning a role to the created user, which i am able to complete successfully but when i am trying to assign a group then by default it taking everyone group. Where as everyone group has got administrator role in it.

As a result even if i am assigning the simple created role, user is getting administrator privileges and the intresting part is when i am trying to unassign the assigned group it doesn't allow to do it. Is there any thing i am missing?

Hi Hyder,

You need to do the following

- Remove admin group/role from Everyone , everyone group is assigned to each authentic user.

- You cannot remove everyone group , the entire logon module wont work properly.

Please follow the below mentioned solution

- Create a new group and assign whatever role/permission you have to assign.

- Assign the new group to the end user.

- Remove admin role from everyone.

Note :- Donu2019t assign admin role to everyone group.

thanks for your solution!, i created a demo group (xyz) and assigned the role sales to it and later followed the steps you mentioned and now the problem seems to be solved.
