check printing

Hi all,

I have designed a smartform for check print taking fields Payee ,Rupees in words,Rupees and Date.

Now to go for printing this check ,do we need to change any configurations or is any specifications that printer should have ?

Because for other forms like PO and Sales Order I can simply take the Print out in A4 size?

Now the check is in small size ?

I have bit confusion in this, if I give this check smartform for printing do I get a check printed on the same A4 size?

Please guide me some body who already worked on smartform for check printing and not the SAP script?

Thanks

Hi,

You have to Create Page format for that and assign the same thing in Smartform page format in place of DIA4.

FOR creating the follow the steps below.

Go to SPAD transaction

Click on Full Administration button.

Click on the Device types Tabstrip.

Click on Page Formats button.

Goto Change mode.

There will be a create button on the application toolbar.

Click tthat and specify the width and heigh for your format.

Thanks Praveen for quick answer,

If I specify the width and height for my check smartformin SPAD, is it going to reflect for all the smartforms or is it specific for the check print ?

And can u tell me what is the maximum width and height for any check?

Thx

Hi.

it is going to refelect just in the smartform that u r going to use it.

and another thing is that u need to know ur check dimension, there is not maximum width or height.

You do not need a separate page format. You did not specify how you are printing the checks or what type of check stock you are using, but you can just use windows to represent the different elements of the check, plus all of the other information that goes on a single page check. It's easier to help if you identify the type of stock, pre-printed or blank page, how many checks per page, etc.

As for check specifications, you need to research that information for your country or region. Generally, these are published by a standards organization and contain all of the information you need to design a check (at least in North America).
