Dear Experts,
About restatement functionality in BCS.
We have implemented "restatement" Functionality & selected restatement Relevant characteristics.
Uploaded the data against the restatement characteristics.
Now client do not want to implement this functionality for data model. so we need to remove this functionality.
Please advice me can we step back to earlier situation. where no restatement permanent parameter.
Thanks
Kamal
Dan described a brutal cleanup method. Unfortunately, not always it may endup with success without significant efforts.
The more soft approach is to not remove the restatement infoobject from the totals cube, but simply not use it.
Remove the Restatement from the workbench and the monitor global parameters. - The end user will not see it and might be happy with it.
In all BEx queries you'll have to leave the restatement restricting it by #.

I've never done this, but it would seem simple to remove the restatement characteristic from the BCS data model in the BCS workbench and proceed from there. It may require the data model sychronization and possibly even selective deletion from the BCS totals infocube with subsequent synchronization of totals and documents data streams with the "Analyze and Repair Data Streams" tool.
The data loaded as restatement may have to be reloaded without restastatement value if relevant.
