Hi guys,
I need your opinion regarding the most appropriate method to implement the copy of consolidation versions in BCS.
I already made the first approach. I have created 4 tasks. One to documents, other for reported financial data, another for investments and finally one for changes in Investee equity.
All seems working fine till I noticed that the documents task didnu2019t copy all document types. Besides the first question, do you know what may be happening?
Thanks in advance.
João Arvanas,
Kiran's answer is correct if you use the BCS release lower than SEM-BCS 6.0 with Enchancement Package lower (if at all) than 2.
EhP2 and 3 give a possibility to copy all documents and totals records. Cannot see it in the system right now, but in the copy task you have a possibility to assign somewhat like a type of execution: for a ConsUnit, for a pair of companies, independent of ConsGroups. All in four options. These options serve as restrictions to which documents are copied.
And more than that, I wasn't able to copy totals and documents from one data basis to another one if the basises are different by the set of infoobjects. Only copying within the same data basis and different versions is not painful.

Hi Eugene,
Iu2019m working with SEM-BW release 602 with level 0002.
I went looking for the options you mentioned but in task I only see/change the following:
- Change the data streams (I choose documents)
- Source tasks ( I left empty)
- Consolidation frequency
- Methods assigned ( I assigned the method created with data type documents)
Iu2019m not seeing where I can define what type of documents I want to copy.
Iu2019m sorry for being so boring,
Many thanks,
Probably not all new EhP functionality is activated.
Please check if in the t-code SFW5 you have active:
ENTERPRISE_EXTENSIONS = EA-FIN
and in
ENTERPRISE_BUSINESS_FUNCTIONS = FIN_ACC_GROUP_CLOSE and FIN_ACC_GROUP_CLOSE_2.
If not all this active then you may try to activate them (provided that you have authorization - if not - ask basis people to do it).
Hi
Copy can be performed for documents upto PL10. Copying beyond PL10 documents is not possible. The best way is to create the document types instead of copying them.
Thanks
Kiran

In the copy methodd/task for documents have all the corresponding tasks/document types been defined? If not, try that.

Hello Dan,
Where di you suggest to define the document types?
I have only one method and corresponding task for documents and I haven't made any restrictions on document type level.
When I execute the task only some document types are copied.
The documents related with IU Elimination and Reconciliation and Consolidation of Investments are not copied.
I'am missing something?
Best regards,
