How to get Live Office installation package

Hi,

we have a edge-partner contract and I installed BO edge/w data management already, as well as Crystal reports and XCelsius. But on the download page from the markedplace, I can't find any "Live Office" stand-alone installation package. In the manuals (e.g. "Installing and activating SAP Best practices for SAP ERP", and blogs, there is often mentioned "Install Live Office", after Crystal Reports and XCelsius is installed for different scenarios. Maybe s.b. faced similar issues and can tell me how to get it?

Hi,

you will find Live Office in the Collaterals\AddOns directory in the path you extracted the BO Edge installation files in.

Great, I found it...

Is this the right way to do the installation:

I did:

1. Insert License key for live office in the CMC on the BO server machine (I did that, but live office is still not available on the BO server, no menu in excel)

So I plan to:

Run setup.exe on the BO server machine (I find it kind of strange that the manual talks about Live office components are installed with BO premium already and then about client installations - setup.exe has to be run on the same BO server machine to activate live office on the BO server, or am I wrong?!)

Hi,

the server component of LiveOffice (web service) is already available on the BO server, when it was setup t ouse a java web application server (like Tomcat) .Just install the package I directed you to on all machines where you want to have to LiveOffice plug-in in Excel. The licence key is NOT required.
