Hi,

the CMS database should be initialized automatically on the existing database you provided. All you have to do in advance is to create a database instance and a user in this instance. What exactly is the error message you get and when exactly (installation step) do you get it?

the time i get this error message is on the time of the installation require to setup the existing database.

i choose Microsoft SQL Server (ODBC) and browse the database. then cross the error.

May i ask another question? actually i could use 'web service connection' on xcelsius to collect the FM return.

by using 'web service connection'. do BOE required to install on server? sorry if this is the stupid question. because i'm new on BO and xcelsius.

Hi,

do you use an 64bit or a 32bit of windows.

Please mind my ignorance, but what does FM stand for in your postings?

My server is using 32 bit.

the FM i means is the SAP R3 Function module.

Hi

you need BOE if you want to publish your dashboard in the BOBJ portal in order to make it available to your SAP users. This way you can also implement SSO ie. the user logons with her/his SAP credentials in the BOBJ portal and invokes XCelsius, which fetches the data from the SAP R/3 system (through LiveOffice) using the user's sap credentials.

Can you please confirm that the DB user you createdis authorized to access and create tables in your database instance. Can you check also if there are some tables created during the installation in your database?

Stratos
