Obligatory Selection for Infopackage for Generic Datasource

Hi guru's,

We are trying to put a Required Entry Field in an Infopackage Field.

This Infopackage is for a Generic Datasource and in the datasource we check the Selection box, but that only means that in Infopackage we can select from this entry field, this selection is not required it's only Optional and we want it required.

So, is there some way to make obligatory selection (Required Entry Field) for a field of an Infopackage made for a Generic Datasource ?

We are using SAP BW 3.X version.

Hi,

In R/3 system, you can set the mandatory fields for a datasource. In table ROOSFIELD, for the field which has to be set as mandatory for extraction, set the value for field KEYFLAG_DS. This field allows you to set the field in datasource as mandatory for extraction.

It seems that is the ROOSFIELD table, but not the KEYFLAG_DS field, it seems more logical the SELECTION field. It has a value 'M' for "necessary selection, visible". Am I wrong ?

Sorry, yes you are correct SELECTION is field to be set. It was by mistake i gave wrong field.
