Indirect Valutaion of wagetypes helps in dynamically assigning a value to a wagetype. A new module u2018INVALu2018 with its variants have been created for specifically based on various methods required. check this image http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/4563/inval.png http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/5449/inval2.png Thanks and Regards Jaydeep Jadhav

Hi,

Check the following IMG links, hope it will clarifies your issue -

Under IMG

1. Personnel Management u2192 Personnel Administration u2192Payroll Data u2192 Basic Pay u2192 Wage Typesu2192 Check wage type catalog -> Check wage type characteristics

Here you can set the wage type characteristics like u2013

u2022 You want to define a maximum and minimum wage type amount.

u2022 The maximum wage type number may be 100, the minimum 1.

u2022 Decision on the wage type amount should be included in the totals line of basic pay or not.

u2022 You must enter a wage type amount.

u2022 You should only be able to enter the number for a wage type.

u2022 You want to set certain units of time and measurement for the number. Etcu2026

Also, you have to define the INVAL method alongwith the module variant as per you requirement.

Indirect valuation is possible in the following infotypes :

Basic Pay (0008)

Recurring Payments/Deductions (0014)

Additional Payments (0015)

Wage Maintenance (0052)

2. Personnel Management u2192 Personnel Administration u2192Payroll Data u2192 Basic Pay u2192 Wage Typesu2192 Revise Default Wage Types

you can set up default wage types based on your internal company structure for the Basic Pay infotype (0008) using the feature Planned remuneration specification (LGMST). Also, you can map wage types to wage type models with other properties.

3. Personnel Management u2192 Personnel Administration u2192Payroll Data u2192 Basic Pay u2192 Wage Types u2192 Define valuation of base wage types

You may have already defined indirect valuation for certain wage types in the step " Check wage type characteristics" (Step 1). Depending on which module you use for indirect valuation, you need to define additional procedures to ensure that indirect valuation functions correctly.

It contains valuated wage type mapping with the base wage types for the indirect module alongwith the % of base WT and validity.

For Example

In the Basic Pay infotype (0008), an employee has the wage types 'standard pay' and 'standard bonus'. You also want to assign to your employee the wage type 'percentage bonus' which should be x% of the sum of the first two wage types.

Step u2013 1, Define a Wage type for the 'percentage bonus' with required property

Step u2013 2, Make an entry here if you want to default this wage type in infotype 0008.

Step u2013 3, You have defined the module PRZNT for the 'percentage bonus' wage type. In this step, you must define the wage types to be used as the basis for calculating the percentage bonus.

Hope it will be clear to you. Let me know if this is not the case.

Best Regards,

Praveen

Hi Sanjay,

You have indirect valuation for certain wage types in the step " Check wage type characteristics".

Depending on which module you use for indirect valuation (see documentation on the Module name field), you need to define additional procedures to ensure that indirect valuation functions correctly.

Example

In the Basic Pay infotype (0008), an employee has the wage types 'standard pay' and 'standard bonus'. You also want to assign to your employee the wage type 'percentage bonus' which should be x% of the sum of the first two wage types.

You have defined the module INVAL for the 'percentage bonus' wage type.

In this step, you must define the wage types to be used as the basis for calculating the percentage bonus.

For Indian Scenario we use INVAL for that cumulation.

Thanks

Swati
