Hi all,
Can anybody please tell, how can we create SSIS packages in BPC NW.
I have heard that BPC NW version has BI as its backend and so we will not have SQL, so from where will we create SSIS packages.
Thanks . Please help.
Sanjay
Hi, Sanjaj,
U were right when saying that SAP BPC for NW version has SAP BW backend (not SQL Server) and that's why we don't use SSIS packages in Data Manager functionality. Instead of it we r using packages build on NetWeaver process chains (ABAP). U can get more information about BPC for NW packages at the official help page:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_bpc70sp02/helpdata/en/af/36a94e9af0436c959b16baabb1a248/frameset.htm
The main idea is that u still have a list of standart packages that u can use (master data loading, transactional data loading, etc) and u can create your own packages build on your own process chains.
Hope that will help u,
Dzmitry

Hi Mr Lebedzeu,
Thanks for your valuable answer. but i want to know that will Process chain provide us all the functionality that were provided by SQL Server.
Also like in SSIS , we paste our BPC functions in SQL Server and then use them in SSIS Packages. Similarly , how can we paste BPC functionalities in BI server. Do we have any good PDF for demonstration or explanation of BPC functionality in BI Process chain.
Thanks
Sanjay
Sanjay,
You have the packages for various functionalities in BPC right like Loading Master data, Loading Transaction data , or your own custom package...
These can be called from a Process chain..and can be automated!!!..thus replicating the SSIS functionality..
For more details on this...check the sticky thread on top of this forum on how to automate Master data loads.
Hope this gives you some direction..
