Fixed assets add-on with 12000 assets

Hi experts

Currently I'm using SAP B1 2005B with the fixed assets add-on, currently i have 12,000 assets in my fixed assets master. It is becoming extremely difficult to handle fixed assets now because the add-on is too slow and takes more that 12 hours for the depreciation run. Sometimes the depreciation run fails without giving a proper error also.

What would you recommend as the best solution here do i have to go for a third party add-on to solve this problem

Hi Kanishka Wickrama,

On way you could try:

Check all values for those 12000 assets first. If possible, you may just take out all assets that below a certain value. I would suggest you to get rid of at lease 50% of them. For a SME, 12000 assets sound not normal.
