add a new DTR in my NWDS

Hello guru,

i have a big problem whit my NWDS.

After working in a project for some months, last week i started to work in a new project.

When i change my NWDS property for link me in other server and create a new DTR, my NWDS still to see first older server.

I don't want reinstall NWDS and i want to be able to work in more project in same time.

How can i do it????

You can manage your DTR clients in the DTR perspective. You'll have to delete the DTR client you do not want to use anymore. That's the only way to do it.

If you're working with Development Configurations imported from the SLD, you need to delete these (this will also delete the associated DTR client).

i tried to delete DTR many time but when i try to create the new, my NWDS still to see the old server

Hi,

first thing.. did you checked for any open activities for previous configuration?

Go to development perspective and remove old configuration. then change the server url, and re-import new one .

You can try the "hacker"-way:

Go to the .dtr folder in your Windows Profile directory and edit the clients.xml file, deleting all clients you do not need anymore.

Additionally you can edit the servers.xml file in the same way.

Make sure the file lastused.client contains the name of a client available in clients.xml.

Make backups before you modify these files!

Hello John,

i soldev myself.

You need change all configuration of properties in your NWDS.

Later close your NWDS and rename folder .dtr and .dtc in .dtr_*** and .dtc_*** where *** is name of your old project.

Better if u have a different folder whit name of project and u put both folders inside.

When you restart NWDS a new version of both forders will be created and u can start to develop.

if u need work again in old project you need do the opposite procedure.
