Timestamp on Planned ind. requirements transferred to APO.

Hello all.

Does anyone know if it is possible to control what timestamp a PIR transferred from R3 to APO is given in APO?

When we transfer PIR's from R3 to APO the PIR's in APO are always created with timestamp 00:00:00. This is a problem for us for locations that are not open at that specific time. We would thus need a way to control what timestamp is generated, and it would need to be on a per-location basis since all locations do not exist in the same timezone.

Have anyone met this issue and know of a solution?

Thanks in advance.

Simon

Hi,

Please check the following thing:

1. Check what timezone is assigned to location?

2. Check whether "Local Timezone" is selected in Model and version mangement in tcode /SAPAPO/MVM

3. Check whether any shipping calendar is assigned to the location for which you are facing the problem.

Incase the you calendar starts with time 00:00:00 then change it to whatever the time location is open and then create PIR's. Hopefully it should create with location opening times.

It is location specific and hence you can configure different times for different locations. Please let know if the problem still persists.

Thanks, we can get it to work by opening the calendar, but this is not an option for the relevant location since it is only physically open from 05:00 to 22:00 and the PIR's get written with time 00:00:00 which is outside this period.

If we open the calendar things like sales orders might also get placed in the open period - and we do not want that.

Hi,

I find this an exceptional case. Isn't it??

This can be handeled by implementing the enhnacement APOCF019 and component EXIT_SAPLDP_BAPI_001 (using tcode CMOD) where you can modify the timings of the PIR before coming into APO system. If there are multiple such cases then you can maintain entries in table and develop code to look at the table before saving the order in APO.

Hope this answers you question.

Well it's not that exceptional the way our system is set up we have differing opening times, especially in thise case where the plant is a distribution center which is not open 24/7.

Your suggestion looks very useful, I'll take it to our programmers and get them to see what can be done. If we could just get the PIR's to have say 15:00 as their timestamp all problems would be fixed.

Thanks again.
