SAPJSF : Unable to add group SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION_RO

Hello All ,

I have recently installed portal ( dual stack ABAP+JAVA) , Now i want to create a new user through portal , So , in that case i go on to the following link :

User logon id : j2ee_admin

User Administration > identity management > Create User

I get the following error ---> Unable to create a new user , contact system administrator

As per the sdn articles , i came to know that there is a user called SAPJSF which is responsible for comminication between

JAVA and ABAP data source ............

giving u a initial description .....I have some questions in this regard

1: when i goto the ABAP system (through user id : SAPuser) i could not see SAPJSF user in su01

2: When i goto visual admin : server >Security provider > User management --> search for SAPJSF (it exists), in that regard

it has a group SAP_BC_JSF_COMMINICATION_RO, which i feel should be SAP_BC_JSF_COMMUNICATION. I am not able to add the group here ..........

Could you help me know as to how am i suppose to add this group , also i have seen few articles , but could not get help for the same.

Thankyou

Ronniee

Which client have you connected as the UME to the Portal. If you are able to search the SAPJSF user through visual admin then it should be present on the ABAP stack, do make sure you are logging in to the right client in the ABAP stack.

    Thanks,

    GLM
