Max Column number in every page..

Hi everyone,

I have a question about a WebI report design..

I have a WebI report which I use crosstab.. In this crosstab, lets say we use Island Resort marketing universe and customer, service and revenue objects. At the row side I put customer, and at the column side I put service dimension. It is not possible to show all of them at one page when the page size is A4 Landscape...

So, do we can limit the maximum column number in one page? I mean that, in every page max 4 service name should have seen. After the 4th service name, it should go through the another page..

I know, we can limit the maximum row number in every page, but I am not sure about the column..

Is there any way to do that??

My BO env is BOXI 3.2..

Thanks a lot..

Omer

By adding two queries and making a cross merging and using break, I solved the issue..

thanks a lot your posts dears..

Hi,

Try to use breaks for column (i.e. format ->breaks) and check the option starton new page.

Hi Suresh,

thanks for the reply..

I can not apply break.. There isn't a group logic.. as my example, I use a data set like island resort marketing's service dimension..

Applying break will put the data into one by one columns.. thats not what I need..

I need to set the column number for the page..

My main concern is printing issue.. to prevent data corruption between the pages, I have to set a static column number for every page..

Hi,

In WebI report you can limit the columns per page by setting the number int he propery below:

Go to the properties tab of the report:

Page Content(Quick Display Mode)

Vertical Records per page:

Horizontal Records per page.

I hope this might help you.

Thanks a lot for your answers..

The Source system is SAP BW. We connect to SAP BW via Designer and import the cube structure. Then we develop WebI reports..

Voyager will be a good solution but I guess, the structure of the report is not suitable to use Voyager, but I try..

Quick display mode just allows us to view a report while developing.. In the view mode, I develop the report with A4 and landscape page format..

I try to create a variable which counts the column number and then try to put this new variable as a section.. And then i put this section option as "start on new page".. however, when I put it to section, then it counts nothing..

any other ideas??

Hello Omer,

The print capabilities in Voyager have been enhanced. Printing now includes these options:

u2022 When printing hierarchical data, different levels in the hierarchy can be indented to show the hierarchical structure visually.

u2022 The number of columns printed per page can be specified. If some columns have long member names, the names are wrapped.

u2022 When printing multiple pages of data, the column and row headings can be repeated on each page.

u2022 The font size can be specified.
