Hi Marufat,

In NETCH when MRP is run system considers all the requirements that exists between Two MRP runs, where as in NETPL system considers only those requirements that fall with in the planning horizon.

Example: There is a demand created ie a sales order created with a deliver date which comes after 3 months. When MRP is today with NETCH System will consider that demand and create Planned order for that.

Now we have set our planning horizon period as 60 days. When we run MRP today with NETPL system will not consider that demand as it is falling beyond the Planning horizon as because though there is a demand we are informing the system to consider only that demand which falls within the horizon is with in the period of 60 days,

Hope thsi answers your question.

hallo rgodavarthy and mangalraj,

thank you for both your answer,

but where can i enter the planning horizon value?? and if there are still any PIR or CUstreq in the past, can i change them into planned order using MD02??

and for the schedule line, what is the function of the schedule line in the mrp controller parameter??

best regards,

Planning horizon is set through config. Oppq for individual plant.

Sch lines are procurement proposal like purchase orders.

Opening period is defined in Material master through sch margin key.

Dear Marufat,

1.If you run with processing key NETCH,the system creates the procurement proposals - planned orders/pur.req for the

requirements given even for the period outside the planning horizon.Say suppose if you have given the planning horizon as

100,so the requirements given outside the 100 days also the system creates the procurement proposals.

2.If you run with the processing key NETPL,the requirements only in the planning horizon will be considered during planning run.
