UDF - Category Settings

hi All,

We have set all our UDFs to customized categories. However recently, some of our users are finding that the UDFs are defaulting back to the General Setting category.

Does anyone know why this is happening? We are on 2007A Patch 47.

Jane,

The document settings / Category settings are at the document level. So please check if they are talking about the same document.

Hi Suda,

Yes, it appears to be at the document level. The UDF's on the PO screen have defaulted by to the general category. It is alot of work to recateogrize all the UDF's.

DO you know how this might have happened or how to restore back to our category settings?

Unless some changes it - it could not have happened on its own.

The previous settings are not stored anywhere so that it could be recovered. You would want to restrict users access to form settings from the Authorization window. This way you can be sure that the users are not causing this
