Hi All,
We have some employees who work remotely, till now what my client was following that they were assigning the same
Personnel Area as that of their manager.
But now they r going for re-engineering, where they dont want to assign same PA as that of manager.
e.g. employee is working remotely in Brazil but his PA is Austin becuase his manager is in Austin.
Also they have maintained PA as locations where office is physically present.
Issue is there are so many employees who are working remotely in different countries and
here managers are in different countries.
If we suggest them to have one PA say Remote PA, in that case we dont know to what company code we will
assign it because all employees are in different countires having diffenrent screens. So they cant be merged under one PA.
I know its a consulting issue, but i am stuck with this, can anyone pls provide inputs.
Regards
Aryan
hi,
why don't we maintain PA's according to Organization with their company codes and PSA according to Location names?
Please try this.

Hi,
If we configure PA as physical Org Units and PSA location say:
PA PSA
XYZ US Austin
California
XYZ UK Paris
Switzerland
XYZ China Beijing
Shanghia
In that case if some employee is working for XYZ US remotely say from India, then again we cant assign him to the PA XYZ US because we will not have India as PSA under US country groupng assigned to PA.
So my issue is how to handle PA for employees working remotely.
Pls provide some inputs.
Regards
Aryan
Hi Aryan,
You can make a copy of IT0032 (Internal Data) and have fields to capture location details. You would have fields such as location, country etc. You can also have "remote location" radio button. This way you would still be able to hire employees according to where they belong in the structure and track their offshore location.
