SCM upgrade from 5.1 to 7

Dear All,

It would be your kind help if you provide me with the details of the upgrade steps.

Also the I have downloaded the upgrade files from service marketplace and could not find the exact no as per the medialist as it does not have any number mentioned to be downloaded.

I have downloaded the following,

1. 51032928: SAP SCM 2007 Upgrade Export 1 of 6

2. 51033041_12: SAP SCM 5.1 Upgrade Master Windows Server on x64 64bit

From Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group" SAP Application Components" SAP SCM" SAP SCM 7.0

3. 51036985 : SAP SCM 7.0 SR1 Upgrade Export 1 of 5

4. 51036983: SAP SCM 7.0 SR1 Languages 1 of 4

Does 1 is required in this case( from 5.1 to 7 sr1). I mean could be please give me a overview of the dvds require to be downloaded and steps from start.

Also I have downloaded the following.

SAPup7107_7-20004321.SAR

SAPEXE_39-10005992.SAR

SAPEXEDB_39-10005996.SAR

NW710_38-20001729.SAR

I extracted the SAPup..SAR and tried running the SAPup, but getting message that of upgrade assistant not present? Does I need to get the UA, but from where?

Could somebody let me know how to proceed with my task?

Remove the Quotes " from the registry for the imagepath mentioned in the netstat.log in put\log directory

Take only SR1 export DVD's, and don't mix if with non-SR1. UA should be started as stated in upgrade manuall.

Hi Mirek,

I have downloaded the following master upgrade installation 51033041_24.

Also after running the prepare.bat, I get the diaglogue box > select drive> copy all the contents.

I have run java -cp I\put\ua\ua.jar UaServer and for starting the UA I run

java -cp I:\put\ua\uagui.jar UaGui

it comes till the Main menu and ask to select from Administrator menu--> Start PREPARE. It gives me a message box saying

Target SAP system is SC5

Enter the SAP instance number [00]:

? INSTANCE NUMBER =

Waiting for input since Oct 5, 2009 5:07:39 PM

> INSTANCE NUMBER = 00

WARNING: unable to open SAP start profile

Any idea of why I get this error ?
