Server-side install - Crystal Reports 2008 on Windows SErver 2003/IIS 6

I need to be able to install support for Crystal Reports 2008 reports on some of my web servers, and I have been entirely unsuccesful in finding any documentation as to what is required in order to make that happen without installing the fullblown Crystal app, which I don't want to do. Server is running Windows Server 2003 R2/IIS 6. Any links, documentation, pointers, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Jonathan,

Thanks for the links. I had already found and downloaded all of that software, however I had hoped to find something resembling documentation as to proper installation methods, etc. For example, it would be nice to know where the merge modules need to be placed on the server, as I have seen inconsistencies in what little documentation I have found, some even going so far as to say they were no longer needed. For that matter, are all three of these components required? It is just little questions like that I hope to have answered before I start installing this on my production servers. If you, or anyone else for that matter, can point me in the proper direction it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Jeff;

The easiest way is to installe the .NET Server install, which is the first link:

https://smpdl.sap-ag.de/~sapidp/012002523100006561812009E/cr2008sp1_redinst_rfrsh.zip

The merge modules can be used to create a setup project in .NET that can install your project as well as our runtime files.

If you download our Developer Guide help file from https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/crystalreports-sdk, the section on Deployment is quite comprehensive.

Regards,

Jonathan
