Portal Content Translation

Hi All,

I am new to EP and this is with regards to Portal Content translation. I have created new Translation Worklist and have added iViews however I am not able to add the resource bundle present in the par file to Translation Worklist.I did a search in sdn and help.sap.com I find something like this

If you would like to include dependent objects when you generate the worklist (for example all objects that are in a role and their source objects), you must select the option Include all objects on which the translated objects depend. Dependent objects are not included in the default setting. If you want to include dependent objects, you can define a namespace filter so that only objects having a certain namespace prefix are added. If the worklist has a namespace prefix, it is automatically entered here.

But I am not able to see the option to Include all objects.

Can some one please direct me the right procedure.

Thanks,

Syed.

Hi,

The resource bundle is present inside the par file only; you need to keep the Translation text inside the resource bundle. It will not be visible inside Translation work list.

Translation work list will have details about the PCD objects eg Iview, Role, Pages.

So for translation of objects/Labels inside par file, you need to create a separate property file inside the par file and place it inside the resource bundle.

I hope this helps.

With Regards,

Vipin.

Vipin is right, your resource bundle is not visible in the Translation worklist. But if you actually perform the translations for an iview (respecitvely also it's par file) you can then translate all your internationalized strings that you had put into the resource bundle during development. That means, you actually don't have to care about anything
