how system generating withdrawal qty against planned qty

Dear Experts,

In MD61 we entered 2500 nos as MPS quantity for a part, but after two days the quantity has been reduced 2020 nos automatcally , still MRP run is not completed ,and also i can see withdrawal qty 480 in Total Requirment menu, how system generating withdrawal qty against planned qty, will you please explain the process clearly

You have a planned independent requirement of 2500 for a period, then consumed 480 within the period. The material has a planning strategy group that takes the consumption in the period in determining the remaining planned independent requirement .

planned independent requirement original entered = 2500

consumption in period = 480

remaining planned independent requirement = 2020

The consumption reduces the stock by 480, if the planned independent requirement is not reduced in the same period the MRP would create a planned order/purchase requisition for the 480 again, which you do not want. In MD63 for the material check "environment" > "total requirements" it shows what is actually occuring with the planned independent requirement quantity.
