different between 03 and 04

Hi guys,

I am just wondering what is the difference between the following two inspection type, it seems they are very similar:

1 - 03

2 - 04.

Can you tell me what is the usage different between the two of them.

Difference bet is as mentioned above but the most important difference is

03 - is not stock relevent inspection, u can do result recording. defec recording but no stock posting. basically this inspection type is for recording purpose.

04 - is stock relevent inspection. after clearance from inprocess inspection 04 inspection type is created (by confirmation of production order) and material is cleared (posted to unrestricted)

Hi,

Inspection type 03 is used to carry out in process inspection. If u set this insp type to the material code, whenever the Prod/ proces order releases it generates a inspection lot. This facilitates you to record resullts by using inspection points (shift wise/ hourly). for this u have to specify the inspection point at the routing header and Inspection characteristics for the operations in the routing.

04 Inspection type is for G.R from production order

This means the lot will automatically created when there is any confirmation from PP module for the prodction/process order.

for this type of inspection you can set the inspection type at material code & u can specify the inspection plan for the material code.
