NWDI - Synchronization service component WD-RUNTIME

We use NWDI with CM services to transport BPM's via CTS+. We use export mode "source export". Because of this, we have a development configuration (with DTR- and CMS workspaces) in each target system. During the setup we needed to synchronize the required SC's according to sap note 2313256 within the DI (we don't have CMS track since we use CM services). We could do the synchronize except for SC WD-RUNTIME because we are not able to select "Import Archive" during the synchronization process. Only the action SKIP was available where we expected the possibility "Import Archives" like in other relevant components.

Who was able to solve this issue?

Note: in CBS of my productive system I do have 33 more DC's (all part of WD-RUNTIME) comparing to development and QA system.

Hi Wilbert,

I think it might be because on your runtime system the SCA "WD-RUNTIME" is already deployed on a higher version what you would like to deploy now.

If it's not the case I can recommend that try to use the option "import service". It will complain that this is out dated but if you ignore that you can import the service without running the function which is responsible for the version checking.

I hope it will help for you.

Hi Szabolcs

Thanks for your reply. Indeed, the SCA of "WD-RUNTIME" as deployed on our runtime system did have a higher patch level. We have updated it some time ago for SAP note 2531520, but the corresponding installation file was not copied in the correct folder on our development server.

Best regards;

Wilbert
