Hi all,
I recently patch my DEV's kernal and notice that after patching is completed, my slicense went into INITIAL status.
However, if I roll-back my patch and reinstall the prev patch version, my DEV become useable without any problem.
Have anyone come across something like this or have any idea/suggestion on the solutions?
I have yet to try to request for new license key, but accordingly to my SAP implementation consultant and their manual, patching SAP kernal does not reset the slicense of the SID.
Regards.
I found the problem ... It appear that the file sapcrypto.dll is missing from my new kernal folder. Thus the license library did not load.
My inquiry (with this information) is that have I miss out something during the downloading process?
i've downloaded SAPEXE_*** from system independent and SAPEXEDB_*** from Database dependent (Oracle).

Hi Mahesh,
I have follow your suggestion by overwriting the file inside (originally, I rename the old folder and move the new folder to it's place). It now work correctly.
Thank you.

Try by overwriting the kernel files. Hope this will works.

A kernel upgrade does not touch anything related to the license... license info is stored on the database and the kernel upgrade just replace your kernel files. You might like to investigate the logs further to see if something of someone changed the license info.
In any case you don't need to request a new license simply reapply the same license that you already had.
Regards
Juan
