Custom movement type Custom Inspection Type

Hi Gurus,

I'm new to QM. I have this scenario.

I have created Inspection Type ZI04(copied from 04) then a custom Movement type Z01(copied from 101) and a custom usage task list Z005 (copied from 5 Goods Receipt). How can i link the 3 customization? I'm going to use the standard inspection type 04 movement 1001 and task list usage 04 .

Thank you

Thank you for your reply. I have this scenario that. 1 material 1 plant will have 2 inspection plan. 1st inspection plan will be having a qualitative MIC with standard task list usage then the 2nd inspection type will be having Quantitative MIC with custom task list usage and inspection type. The expected result will be: the material will be GR from to 1st warehouse using 101( tru Purchase order) then the standard inspection type and inspection plan will be called. Then the material will be order by another storage location using STO movement type 101 then the custom inspection type will be called. The reason why I created custom Task list usage is to have a version of inspection plan that will by called automatically by the system using/linked to a custom inspection type.

    Thank you!

    • A STO movement should use inspection origin 08, not the 01 used for the 101.

The 08 and 01 should have different inspection plan usages assigned to them. Unless someone changed that on you.

There shouldn't be a need for the customization.

The ZI04 inspection type, when you configured it has a field called "Task List Usage". Change that to your new Z005 plan usage.

You can't change the inspection origin used by a movement type anymore. Your Z01 will have the same inspection lot origin as the 101, i.e. 04 inspection lot origin.

You normally don't need to create a custom movement type. You simply mark the ZI04 inspection type as the preferred inspection type in the material master.

If your intention is to create a material movement that triggers a specific inspection type, you can't do that without customization. I.e. you want to use the normal 04 inspection type when a 101 is done, but you want to use ZI04 when Z01 movement is used.

In this case, you need to use an exit like QPAP0002. The exits checks to see what movement type was used. Z01 or 101. You don't change the inspection type but you use this to change the plan usage used by the inspection lot. So you keep your 04 inspection type, but use the exit to change the plan usage to Z005 instead of 5. (i.e. no need for ZI04 unless you have some other purpose besides the plan usage). In this exit you can also change other settings of the inspection lot if need be, or suppress it entirely.
