Hello

A Shipping Notification is a firm element by default, that means, it is not changed by MRP even if it is outside the time fence. Therefore, you should not expect to see a * near the shipping notification.

For a scheduling agreement, you should define a firm zone in transaction ME32, in order to avoid changed to be made by MRP.

Caetano

Thanks Mr. Almeida for your inputs. I have a doubt which I want to clear....

1) As said by you "A shipping notification is a firm by default" does this means that whenever a shipping notification is created that lies within or outside of firming zone we will never see a firming indicator * ?

2) If I set a firm zone in ME32 then would I be able to see the firming indicator if shipping notification is with in firming zone?

Hell Mr. Almeida. Refer below screen shots. Shipping notifications are firmed with in planning time fence though firm zone is not maintained in ME32. Can any one explain conditions or criteria for firming shipping notifications in Planning Time Fence? I am really unable to figure out the reason any help will be really appriciated.

Hello

The '*' will only be displayed in transaction MD04 for elements that can be firmed or not, such as planned orders, purchase requisitions or schedule lines. Please observe that the schedule line can be firmed even without a firm zone.
