SmartForm Page Break for Multiple Secondary Windows

Former Member

Hi,

I have multiple secondary windows after the MAIN window. All these secondary windows should print on one page ONLY. If there is not enough space (after the MAIN window data) for ALL secondary windows, then it should go to the NEXT page and print all the secondary windows. In other words, these secondary windows should be treated as a group and should not be separated.

Any help on how to achieve this is appreciated. Thanks.

I need Page Protection for multiple windows and not just for a folder/text within a window!

Hi,

Kindly check if the Windows - > Conditions (Of each of the windows created) -> And Additional event help you in controlling page protection .

Cheers,

I dont think this can be achieved.

only main window can be expanded to multiple pages,

while designing secondary windows, they are always of fixed size hence the layput is also designed accordingly.

What u can do is have all the content in the footer of main window instead of secondary windows.

and the have page protection at foooter level

There are multiple boxes on the layout in different positions after the MAIN window. And, secondary windows makes it easier to draw boxes and position them on the layout. But, I guess I cannot achieve Page Protection for all the secondary windows!

Last option would be to have multiple line types and have them all the boxes created using Tables. To achieve page protection having in one table would be the best solution.

I removed my secondary windows and put everything in the MAIN window under a Folder -> Table -> Line Type(s). But, Page Protection check box for the Folder got reset and greyed-out as soon as I added the Table! Any further ideas?

Ok...I think this might work....a Folder within the table (like in the Footer area) instead of a Table within the Folder!

Hi

Looks like thats possible with text.

Hope this discussions gives a little insight

[The protect and endprotect command in sapscript doesn't work with smartforms. For example on a invoice: First data of position no 80. is printed on page one, other data of position no 80 is printed on page 2. And there's nothing you can do about it. Actually, there is something you can do about it. By using a folder node and checking the 'protect' checkbox, everything in that folder will be page protected.|http://it.toolbox.com/wiki/index.php/SAP_Smart_Forms]
