GR partial 103-105 for inbound delivery with package

Dear SAP experts,

We are in SAP ECC 6 EHP 7. We have scenario where we need to post GR-103 first before later doing GR-105 (GR-103 is to indicate that we the material already near our site). However this must be combined with requirement that the PO should be using inbound delivery and packaged (using handling unit).

We notice from our testing that MIGO cannot be used for inbound delivery with package (trigger error message). We got to know that we can use VL60P as alternative. If directly receive material using VL60P, it work. However if we need to post GR-103 first and later on GR partial using VL60P, we got error message that the PO qty is already exceeded.

Is there a way for us to achieve our business scenario in SAP?

Best regards,

John

MIGO cannot be used for inbound delivery with package (trigger error message). - What is the error message are you getting

PO qty is already exceeded. - What is the receipt qty and PO quantity are you trying to receive over and above the PO qty if yes check the setting in PO delivery tab for Overdelivery

Also if I go with MvT 103 & 105 then it is more towards GR into Block stock and GR from Block stock so I not clear what exactly are you trying to achieve with that

    Error message is

    Inbound delivery cannot be packed

    Message no BORGR637

    Diagnosis

in this function, goods receipt cannot be posted for packed inbound deliveries

For the PO qty already exceed, in my PO tab the GR-103 already there

As for my reason why I want to use 103-105, because when the goods already coming into port near the site, business want to indicate that the stock already available though it is not physically arrive yet in the site. So if customer would like to order the goods, this goods should be counted into available to promise. We plan to modify the availability check in ATP in configuration so that it will include blocked stock as well (so stock GR-ed by 103 will be counted as ATP).

Note that I know we can include quantity in PO as available, but business doesnt want to include this as when it is on-order, it might take up to 2 months before the stock come. If it is already in the port near to the site, it will only take 1 more day before the goods physically arrive. Let me know if you have any other idea to fulfill this requirement.
