Hi ALL
I'm tring to use the Function Module RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN.
Then I chekcked the FM on SE37, it was written there "Function obsolete".
If you know the Function Module instead of RFC_ABAP_INSTALL_AND_RUN, please let me know.

This FM is really dangerous, I hope there will not be a replacment for it.
Doesn't help you, I know. Maybe you can solve your problem in a different way.

It is in the name already, it allows to create and run any program code inside an SAP system from outside via RFC calls, provided a user ID is available. It is very high on the checking list of IT auditors. Function group SUTL should not appear in S_RFC authorizations. Well, that's how it is here at my client's site and also in many other SAP installations, but in the end it's up to you.

Hi,
in my system it's not obsolete.
But I found some coding optimization like
This FM was changed for the new package concept with 7.10
Review and clearance by Security PM
Right now, it is not so dangerous: You need the same rights as if you created the program in your workbench.
SAP just says the same as for many functions:
This function module is not released for usage. It can be changed
without any notice, and without any compatibility requirements.

Clemens
