Delivering plants are assigned to disribution chains (Sales org / Dist. Channel combo), and not sales areas, and this is not dependant on customer master data. So in a sales area, you can decide to choose a delivering plant, provided it is assigned in the respiective customizing beforehand. It could also be changed in either customer master or sales document. But NO, you cannot assign several delivering plants to a customer in a sales area, because, yeah well, it is an input field which accepts only one value: You either fill it with a delivering plant or leave it blank. Filling it only defaults the delivering plant. You cannot default a field with more than one value, could you?
On the other hand, you can easily default different delivering plants for the same customer in the same distrubution chain by using customer mateerial info record functionality. Is that what you've been asking for?
