Hi Joy,

If your environment is NetWeaver/ CE 7.1 the steps require to add server node below

- Logon Configuration Tool ( Config Tool )

- Click on ' template - Usage_Type_All_in_One

- Choose 'Servers' in the right pane of the tool

- In 'Custom number of server nodes' - Enter number of server nodes you required.

- Click on 'Set' & 'Save' button

Please consider the prerequisits like memory and other aspects.

Hi Joy,

Are you asking how to add a server node then below is the procedure.

To add a server node, use the following steps:

1. Open the SAP J2EE Engine - Config Tool (commonly referred to as the Config Tool).

2. Select the instance where the server node is to be added.

3. From the menu select Server u2192 Add Server.

4. Click Yes if prompted to add another server.

5. Click Ok

If you are asking the implications of adding a server node, then its a debate on the performance. You actually need to check whether there are any performance issues with the server.

Please let me know the exact purpose of this post.

Cheers...,

Raghu
