Monitor RFC to non sap system from solution manager using ccms

I want to monitor RFC destination in my SAP system in SM59 pointing to non SAP system. I would appreciate if someone would let me know the steps if it can be monitored using ccms from solution manager. Please let me know if you need any information.

    Hey,

Thanks for the link. I have copied the standard SAP method called CCMS_RFCdest_Availability_Col. I did this in both solution manager and remote monitored system document is not giving information about it. It does not show RFC Destinations under MTE of any system as mentioned in the guide.

I have not installed any ccms agents. My remote system is ECC 5 abap only system. The guide is asking to reset segment to warmup if MTE is not visible. This is only possible if SAPCCMSR is configured. Do I have to user SAPCCMSR or SAPCCM4X for abap only system?

Please throw some more light on the topic.

    • Hi,

CCMS Agents (SAPCCM4X, SAPCCMSR or CCMSPING) are irrelevant in this matter or not necessary.

The RFC connection is monitored in the system where it exist, so if it exist in your EEC 5.0 system the method copy / assignment has to be done in this system.

Reset of monitoring segment is also possible for local segments. In RZ21 (selecting local segments) you have however to switch into change mode before the icon to reset into warm up is visible.

Have you activated the local method execution ?

(e.g. RZ21 => menu Technical Infrastructure => Local method execution => Activate background dispatching).

      /Rolf

    Hello,

I have done reset segment to warmup state and now able to see it under RFC destinations. Though I can not assign any autoreaction method to it. It says "No method assignment is stored in the DB for Availability_RFC_Destinations_MA_Class".

    Please help.

    Hello,

I did try closing this tread but was some problem and I had this issue meanwhile so thought of updating an open thread. I have already configured auto-reaction for other MTE and systems but the MTE for RFC destination does not allow to assign any method only.

I would appreciate if you could help me resolve it as I am stuck midway.

    Thanks in advance

      Hi,

Have you been able to fix issue with autoreaction ? I am running into the same issue.
