Error on displaying originals

Hi Experts,

I have two problems on displaying originals:

1st issue: I create a DIR in transaction CV01N, attach an original, check it in, save the DIR and then try to display the original. I get an application error: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel".

Analyzing the error I see that if I checked "testfile.jpg", it has created a temp document which name is "username01". As it does not have an extension it doesn't recognize the local application to use.

How can I fix this issue?

2nd issue: When managing originals through standard webdynpro applications included on EhP4, if I check in an original and try to display it later I keep getting the error "File C.\USERNAME01 cannot be created". I have changed the temp path, and ensure that I had enough privilegies to create new file in the path.

Why is the check in done different through GUI and WDA?

Any contribution will be highly appreciated.

Hi Niel,

For issue number 1, try adding "jpg" in the field "file suffix for appl" in the workstation application you defined to handle jpg files(in transaction DC30). At the moment looks like it is blank in your setup.

Issue 2 may also be resolved by the above solution, you will have to test it out.
