Sales order sub item quantity getting round off

Hello,

In a sales order, for a line item with reference to 'Higher level Item', whenever I enter quantity in decimal places, it automatically gets rounded up upon pressing enter. I have checked standard settings like item category in VOV7 and rounding profile in material master. There is no tick in VOV7 and no rounding profile maintain in the material master.

I debugged it to understand if there any enhancement for this, but it seems this is standard behavior.

Any one know the reason behind this ? Please share.

Thanks.

Hitesh

Ensure the Base UoM for component is same as that of the header material. No alternate UoM is maintained. Also the base unit of measure should always be smaller than or equal to Sales Unit

Hello Lakshmipathi,

As per your suggestion I checked all things but problem is still there. The fact is that, in higher level item it allows qty in decimal places, but only in sub item it is rounding the qty. I checked config of UoM and found for that UoM 'Decimal pl. rounding' is set to '0'. I suppose if I maintain 1 or 2, it will allow decimal places at sub item as well. But my doubt is why this behavior is only for sub item, why not for higher level item ?

Thanks.

How the differentiation of (higher level/Lower level) happening at sales order level?(Either by free goods or BOM)

Any Rules you specifically mentioned at the material master for the sub-Items(MM02>>Sales Org-1 view)

Any rounding rules /Profiles activated for these materials??(SPRO>>Logistics General>>Qty optimizing & Allowed UOMs)

Please confirm.
