Hi,

I want to create system to connect R3 on my desktop from my portal(SAP EP) how can it possible please explain me.

Hi Surya,

Gateway Host : Get this details from logon pad

Gateway Service :

Logical System Name :Tcode scc4 and click on client number ,u will get logical system name

Sap Client : check with basis consultant

SAP System Number : -do-

Server Port -do-

System type (In My Case iam choosing it as R/3).

for WAS and ITS details got to SMICM tcode and select srvicess u will get hostname and port number details.

Hi Surya,

Please check the below article to find the steps creating the system in portal. The same procedure is done for R/3 System too.

Hi,

Here i'm facing main problem is when creating system filling of Application Host field how can i get this from my R3system on my desktop .

Hi Surya,

You would get the details about the Host name, system number and SID from the SAPLOGON pad, just select the R3 system and lick on the 'Change Item...' button and here you can find the details.

Rest of the details you can get it by logging onto the SAP system or can take the help of the Basis consultant.

Hi Surya,

The hostname is the Address or name of SAP application server. Check the "Creating a SAP System in the portal" part of the below link. You will get a good idea of creating the system.
