In MDG-F, How can I upload G/L Accounts whose secondary cost elements were created before?

Hello,

In MDG-F (9.1), we were able to load Secondary Cost Elements via file upload and the CSKA and CSKB tables were updated in the active area. The problem is that now we want to create the associated G/L Accounts to these secondary cost elements and G/L Company Code entries and the system trigger errors:

"Account "XXXXX", Field "Account": Account cannot be created; secondary cost element XXX/XXXXX exists" .

How can this be fixed in MDG-F (Staging Area)? We want to create the company code entries and then later replicate them into CFIN (ALE)

Hi,

MDG-F in its release version 9.1 supports only the ECC model. You cannot create accounts for secondary cost elements. Nevertheless, the integration with S/4 is working fine, based upon specific functionality in the data replication from MDG to S/4.

Best regards

Which entity type you used to load secondary cost element? Can we use GL-Extend entity type to load the primary cost element?

Hi Wilder,

this was delivered as part of MDG in S/4HANA 1809. Please see documentation on the related business function which needs to be activated (among other steps):

Master Data Governance for Financials 9.2 - S/4HANA (MDG_S4_FINANCIALS_8)

Thanks Michael. Yes, Primary Cost GL Accounts work fine. Do you have any idea , when SAP will allow the creation of GL Accounts for secondary costs in MDG?
