How to use BUPT for BP tcode in SRM for overwriting email field?

Hello,

I simply need to overwrite the email field for general data of business partner in BP.

whenever BP is saved, I want to put the fixed value in the email

I am trying to figure out how to do that in BUPT.

I am reading BDT-for-Dialog-Programs.pdf and BDT-Developer-Manual.doc

If anyone has done similar thing, could you please help me to verify my approach is correct ?

if required, create a new entry of a custom function module . I need to identify the correct Appl. for email.

how do I create the custom FM ? should I copy the existing and what should be the exact content in it ?

Is the above approach correct ?
