Why can't I import SHINE in my HXE?

Hi,

I recently (mid October) installed HANA Express Edition (HXE) on my laptop. I think I followed all the steps, and am able to do the file import to provision simple tables and do pretty much everything else I want to try. I would really like to install SHINE. I found a link where you submit your information, and an SAP email is sent back with a link where you are supposed to be able to download the SHINE DU. I seems out of date, it appears the latest is for SP10? Plus, it is in .ZIP format. I googled SHINE download, and found something in GITHUB, and the latest seems to match what I have (SP12), and it is in .tgz format (HCODEMOCONTENT_12.1.tgz). However, when I try and import the delivery unit I get tons of errors see attached screen shot. I read an article that said to re-import the delivery unit if you get errors. Usually when I do it for a second time it shuts down my HXE, and I have to re-start it.

What am I doing wrong? Has anyone imported SHINE in HXE? If so, help!

Thanks.

It appears that I could not import the SHINE delivery unit due to limited resources. The laptop I was attempting this has 16gb of RAM. This is the minimum, and apparently not enough to import SHINE. I tried a different laptop with 32gb of memory, and I was able to import the SHINE DU. I spot checked a few items, and it appears everything is there and functioning.

I would suggest you consider using a more "powerful" (something more that 16gb) if you want to use SHINE.

it should work with 16Gb as this is officially supported, but i understand that the eclipse clients are there for legacy reasons and there may be some features that will work only through SWISH (SAP Web Ide for SAP HANA).

any work done in eclipse should be considered throw away unless this approach changes which i find doubtful considering limited revenue opportunities with open source.
