How to create a Contract from Sales Order?

Hi,

how can I create a Contract directly through Sales Order (or Sales Quote)? I can create Lead to Opportunity, Opportunity to Sales Quote and Sales Quote to Sales Order, but not sure how to create Contract directly from Sales Order or Sales Quote.

I would like to have it documented in Document flow.

Hello Alen,

You can create Sales Contracts from Sales Quote if you have the Contracts scoped on Business Configuration.

Please check the below:

Navigate to Business Configuration Implementation Projects Edit Project Scope Scoping Sales New Business Sales Contracts Business Option: Sales Contracts Questions. Place a checkmark in the desired sections and save your entries.

Once scoped, you will be to create sales contracts from Sales Quote under the facet Sales Documents.

However, it's currently not possible to create Contracts from Sales Order. It's only possible to create follow-up sales orders from the Sales Contract under the facet Sales Order.

You can also refer to the Knowledge Basic Article "2608099 - The New Button is Disabled in the Sales Orders tab of a Sales Contract" to further clarification.
