Dear FM&PS Experts,
Greetings!!!
Currently my client is using Funds Management module and budget control with BCS system. Now they want to use the PS module for some kind of projects and they want to assign the Budget in PS and availability check also must be in PS only.
How we can fulfill this requirement, is derivation rules can help us or need to do certain specific configuration?
If some one have experience please guide me.
Thank you.

Jalendhar
Hi,
PSM-FM and PS modules are not biased. So, whetever you are doing in PS, inclduing budget activities, will operate independently from your settings in PSM-FM. Your scenario is not unusual; I saw many projects were PS budget control was operational along with FM, as their goals differ. While PSM-FM manages budget on organizational level, PS is meant to do the same on project level.

Eli

Dear Eli,
Thank you for support. But I am facing some issue like I did the separate budget profiles and Tolerance profiles for PS projects. Create the Project and assign the Budget through CJ30 and while creating the Purchase requisitions with reference of WBS element system throwing error message as "
Annual budget exceeded by 27,000.00 AED (FM PB Availability Control) for document item 00010". I didn't under stand the issue and I am not familiar with FM. How can I rectify this error message.
Presently client already using the PS but they are doing budgeting in FM , now they want the Budget in PS for few types of projects.
How can I balance these two scenarios or what is the best solution I can provide them.
Thank you
regards
Jalendhar
PSM-FM and PS operate independently, i.e. you can have enough budget in PS, but still don't have enough budget in FM. In theory, you can exclude from PSM-FM all posting done on WBS, but I don't want to recommend it, because it doesn't make much sense.
You have to understand your clients requirements after the introduction of budget in PS. They should tell you how they see the things, whether FM should suddenly act differently just because you post on WBS or not.
