Multiple SID's created in LMDB after OS DB Migration

Hello All,

We have recently migrated our SAP Landscape from Oracle to Sybase , due to this our SAP Installation number is also changed. Now in our solution manager we have 2 Entries Ex: "ABC" & "ABC0001" .

1) What is the best practice to handle this situation ?

2) Is there a possibility to Merge these SID's in Solution manager ?

I have already checked 1694004 - Dealing with duplicate technical system names (SIDs) and this is not useful as my Installation number has changed.

Tried re-naming to ABC001 to ABC, since ABC already exists i have to delete , if i delete i will loose my old EWA reports etc .

Please advise on the same.

Regards

Hi Bhupesh A

Clean up the old SID entries I would say which means deleting them in the SLD, then check in SolMan (after delete has synchronized to LMDB) to clean up remainders / obsolete data, clean up the SID0001 entries also then and push the SLD registration again in the new systems in order to come back to a situation where you have SID entries.

Or live with the fact that they are named differently and only remove old entries after a while.

Best regards

Tom
