Content Studio: How to show todays date as a variable in Confirmation E-Mail

Hi All,

we use the Marketing Cloud 1808.

We would like to show always the current date in the confirmation emails we send out. Unfortunately there does not exists any function we can use.

Date Field is here directly in the text of the email:

Anybody solved this and how? I asume directly in the cource code?

Hi Oliver,

As per my knowledge there is no direct approach to achieve such requirement and in my project experience we did this requirement in following way:

1. Export the segmentation view used for Segmentation Object in Email Template.

2. Modify it to include a new calculated column, let's call it DATE_TODAY, using formula based editor where you can find a function for Today's Date.

3. Activate the modified HANA view and export it from HANA view. Finally import it back to Marketing Cloud.

4. Make the field visible in you segmentation object attributes, if not visible yet.

5. Finally make it visible in content studio to consume it in email template.

I know it bit tedious but that's the way how we implemented it in our project.
