PR not created after MRP

Hello SAP Gurus!

We are having a problem regarding PR creation.

No PR is created after running MRP and we have a lot of requirements.

What do you think is the problem?

How to check?

Hi again,

Kindly let me know have you check these 3 steps below for you

1) Requirement Planning for the corresponding plant must be activated in customizing for material management under consumption based planning -

---

>Planning------>Activate Material Requirement Planning

2)The Plant parameters for the corresponding plant must be activated in customizing for material management under consumption based planning->Plant Parameters-->Carryout overall maintenance of plant parameters

3) In the material master record, you have to maintain the MRP data of the materials that are subject to automatic plannning

Viz , MRP TYPE, MRP GROUP...Etc

If tthe above steps are ok then check the material master record of material of which MRP run is resulting in no Purchase requistion, Kindly check the MRP Views and see whether field of MRP Type is showing ND i.e. No Planning.

Change the same to consumption based planning and get your reults.

I hope this will solve your problem.

Dear Nanz,

What i think is you should check the stock first....It must not have gone below ROP, so might be its 1 of the reason its not generating PR....M talking abt CBP...

Check concern item through md04. if old purchase order / purchase requisition may open.

check procurement type in mrp screen. it should be F

Hi,

Check Whether ur MRP Grp is set to Create PR or not.

SPRO --> MM --> consumption Based Planning --> MRP Grp --> Carry out over all maintenance for MRP Grp -->

Here Give the name of the Plant and also MRP Grp(000 External procurement)

Check here PR requestion '1' is maintained or not.

The material was tagged as 'PD'

and it is configured to create PR....

What do you think is the error?

Hi,

In MM, maintain Fixed Size in lot and maintain lot size.

In safety stock maintain some Qty either 0.

Important one, also mantain In Spro in MRP type "PD" screen sequece 003 instead of 001

Ther can be many reason:

1. Have you defined planning horizon ? what is the period you have mentained for it.

2. What strategy are you using for it ?

3. What are the parameter for MRP run?

Dear Friend,

Check the following things

1. raw material is maintained for MRP views or not check,

2. if in the MRP you selected MRP type As ND at the time also it will not recognize the material
