Hi,
Working with packaging specification in the inbound delivery. Everything works fine if i just specify the product.
If i specify the product and a vendor (ship-from) in the pack.spec, system is not determining my pack.spec. The ship-from is exactly the same as in tab 'partner' of the inbound delivery.
Any ideia on why this might be happening?
Thanks,
João
Do you know if this works in WT creation? I added WPT as a determination field in 0WHT, but EWM seems to be ignoring it. I did not find any SAP note yet for Decentralized EWM on S/4HANA 2020.

Please check following SAP Notes if they can resolve your issue:
3153997 - Autopack for inbound delivery item ignores warehouse process type
3138964 - Packaging specification not found during packing

Dear João,
In order to determine Ship-From party from packaging specification in the inbound delivery packaging process you have to maintain partner role SFPRT in Customizing SPRO: Extended Warehouse Management > Goods Receipt Process > Inbound Delivery > Define Document Types for Inbound Delivery Process.
Usually the Partner Role for Packaging Specification Determination kept blank in SAP Standard setup.
In transaction /SCWM/PSLOG you can display your determination analysis for /SCWM/PRDI.

OK, I can only say it does work in our training system. I have not done any changes to the standard settings, in our system no pack spec group uses a level set with the condition type 0IBD as default. I used the pack spec group SAP with the level set PALLETDATA and manually selected the condition type. Added the scheme 0IPD and the partner role SFPRT in the delivery type (SFPRT is the only role used for a partner in our delivery) - no problem (except that I forgot to set the "create HU flag" in my pack spec in the first trial :-)), the HUs got created as expected.
There should be some kind of log which you can activate. Otherwise I would try to trigger an automatic packing on the packaging dialog from the inbound delivery, then the system should give you some information what can not be found.

Hi Juergen,
Thank you for the confirmation.
This is exactly my scenario, condition type OIBD, with material and ship-from 1000000. Inbound delivery distributed for ewm for partner 1000000 with partner role SFPRT.
When i try to automatically pack in pack functionality of /PRDI, system does nothing and no error is prompt, or visible in slg1.. :s
Regards,
João
Hi,
for clarification: when do you want the pack spec to work? For palettization (so during WT creation) or when the inbound delivery is created (and a HU is automatically created in the background)?

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
